Some phrases i have found that will be suitable for Olympic sports:
"It's not winning that counts, but participating." - Monsignor Ethelbert Talbot
"Sports do not build character. They reveal it." - Heywood Hale Brown, Writer
Find this phrase rather meaningful as it is really quite true that you can see determination and attitude of sportsmen when they are participating. Many times in a way, it is the person's attitude to see whether he/she want to continue the sport actually. If they do not want or give up it is hard for them to win. Well unless they are really good. Even talent sometimes need to be polished to go greater heights.
This is one more nice phrase:
"Olympism...exalting and combining in a balanced whole qualities of body, mind and will" - Pierre de Coubertin - Founder of the modern Olympic Movement

Weightlifting
Weightlifting When incredible concentration, perfect balance and sheer strength aren't enough, sometimes the willpower of an auditorium full of enthralled spectators helps Olympic weightlifters do the seemingly impossible. You will be amazed by the strength of the weightlifters who can lift up such heavy loads with the combination of other factors such as techniques and timing. The athletes who won are usually claimed as the strongest man or woman in the world. For the women event, it was started only since 2000 Sydney Olympic whereas for the men, it was started as early as 1896.

Olympic interesting
counting down to Olympic. Just wondering some pictures of the Athen olympic can be quite interesting. By the way, the host for the coming olympic is quite determined to be the overall champion and that would means defeating USA which has been first for the many years before.

New major issue for coming Olympic now
As Olympics 2008 is approaching soon, though the host has been doing their best in making it a memorable and significant event the best of all time but the weather does not seem to be in favour for the host. Air pollution is posing a big problem now and this needs to be cleared as soon as possible as it will definitely affect the atmosphere and it might also pose a threat to the athletes from all over the nations. Let's wait for the good news for the air to be fresh again.

Sailing
Sailing Sailing has been a keenly contested Olympic sport since 1900. Many classes of boat have come and gone over the years , the most recent addition being the 49er, a modern and fast skiff. Sailing like many other sports require lots of patience and one must be real fast in their actions to react to situations. Singapore has been doing rather well in this sport wining Golds at the sea games and asian games.

Preparing well for the coming Olympics
Before the introduction of more beautiful sports, just want to say that transportation in Beijing has been more well-prepared to cater for the crowd at the coming Olympic. Now they have many bus service on the roads than before to ease the traffic conditions and to facilitate smooth and efficient traffic. Beijing has really been putting lots of hard work into making the coming Olympic the best of all times. It is really glad to hear the host putting in their best effort to plan. And time passes really fast, in no time soon, best sports people around the world will come again to compete at the prestigious Olympic.
