More efforts to improve the air pollution for the Olympics
Another Olympic news that shows China efforts in making the Olympics a great one. Traffic vehicles are to be halved to improve the air caused by pollution and more public transportations will be provided to improve the situation. Air pollution is often an issue to some countries when hosting the Olympics but it is good to see the host to continue to find ways to make the environment a better place for the games to take place.

The new Olympic stadium in London
The beautiful stadium for Olympic 2012 London. This is the design of the next Olympic Stadium and every host who won the bid really shows enthusiasm in making the Olympic a success. This design seems like a big saucer amid the buildings around it but it surely looks majestic.

Angelic smiles at the Olympics
Here is a time schedule of how the medal ceremony hostesses training is like. This angelic look wasn't easy to come by. A typical day of training for these women looks like this:
5:00 a.m. Wake up; get ready
6:00-7:00 a.m. Morning exercises: practice form, dance and basic skills
8:00-9:00 a.m. Training begins: practice basic ballet positions and form
9:30 a.m.-noon Ceremony class: practice standing posture, walking, pace, turning and other actions during the ceremony
2:00-3:30 p.m. Dance class: practice classical dance, folk dance, receive training in body coordination and flexibility
3:30-5:30 p.m. Ceremony class: solidify skills learned in the morning
7:00-8:30 p.m. Training ends: lecture on Olympic knowledge and protocol
22:00 Lights out
After this schedule is seen, I feel that these ladies really put their hearts out for the Olympic. It is good to be beautiful and smile always having the correct postures. But let's hope they do not all look like robots at the games because natural is beauty too deliberate on some stuff just might make it less natural. Being natural is still the best so hope that natural factor is still there at the games.Thursday, January 10, 2008
In preparation for the Olympics
China in its preparation for the coming Olympics, the Olympic staff were all sent for a training camp. Flight attendants were taught how to put on proper make-up, how to pour tea for their passengers, etc. High school girls were selected to be the medal ceremony hostesses and they underwent a training where they have to shape up their endurance and putting their smiles up at all times. Quoted from a high school girl, she said that no matter how tiring it is, it is all worth it. It really seems that China is putting its best foot out to create a pleasant service atmosphere at the Olympic.

Hard work produced the bright smiles of the victory ceremony hostesses.

Media members are attracted by the good manners and quality of the hostesses.

Tennis star set on the Olympic Gold
Who would be looking forward to a Gold medal in the coming Olympics? One of them is certainly the famous tennis star Maria Sharapova. It has been a travel around time for her these few weeks going to different countries for her tennis matches. Singapore and Hong Kong have been the stops for her in Asia. She must have been really glad to know that she has many supporters in asia as well.
