Bolt with a bolt sent

Usain Bolt the fastest man who did a sensational run at the Olympics 100m and 200m, as mentioned before that actually he can run much faster if he continue to run his best all the way. It will be a 9.58 sec record if he did not let his hands down. Still he broke the world record and Olympic record. Track events are somewhat interesting sometimes as I remembered watching the 10000m women's event for about half an hour just to watch the athletes run around the track. They just did it so fast perhaps that's why it caught my attention. Imagine they can even start opening strides after running for so many laps towards the end. They are really good runners I must say.

The USA Basketball style at the Olympic

One of the teams that make basketball interesting is definitely the USA team. Both men and women's team won the gold. For the men's team, Kobe Bryant, Lebron James and the rest really make the games nice to watch. The style of Kobe especially when he scored a 3 point shot against world champion Spain he put his finger at his mouth while the crowd and his team mates cheered for him. Even David Beckham his friend who was there supporting him smiled at his action. Their slam dunks, the shots and the way they played basketball really make the spectators feel worthwhile to watch them as it is really entertaining.

Closing with a great success

The 2008 Olympic has come to an end and all the efforts by China the host for this year's Olympic has finally been paid off. The closing ceremony does not seems to be as interesting as the opening ceremony still, it does still look nice. I like the part where the london bus came in with the passengers waiting dancing and after which the bus transform into a stage. That is actually quite interesting. The great success of this Olympic actually is also partly because the athletes involved. There are so many record breakers and international stars from respective sports such as soccer and basketball were here to compete and they make the games interesting. It has been an enjoyable game to watch.

Synchronized swimming

Water ballet which is also more officially known as synchronized swimming is another interesting game to watch something similar like diving and perhaps gymnastic which consists of more of the artistic elements. But because of its nature like ballet, it may not seems as exciting as other games where you can see the drive to compete and the sense of satisfaction when scoring or getting into the top spots almost instantly. Still it is nice to watch because of its grace and perhaps some of the high level of difficulties of doing some of the actions.

Taekwondo in the Olympic games

Olympic Taekwondo! What a game the athletes have! This Olympic matches are definitely more interesting but of there course there still some which featured a very defensive player therefore does not show much actions. The 57kg women and 68kg men games have some interesting moments with the players from Korea that put up a good performance. In the semi-finals of the 57kg women, I particularly like the Crotian player who always put on a sweet smile at the game. Before she went into the bout, she put on a smile and throughout the game she seems happy. She was leading in the first place but was chased back by the Turkish player who gave her a face kick at the last minute to gain the extra two points. But she got a bronze still and for that smile on her face and happy attitude she gets the gold.

Finally gold for USA in gymnastic

Finally gold for the Americans in the Gymnastic games, they were winner of the team men and women's events but were won by the Chinese this Olympic. Nevertheless they are still good and their efforts paid off at least for USA Nastia Lukin who won the gold for all round individual and USA Shawn Johnson who won the beam gold. Now that gymnastic events has come to an end, I am going to watch the synchronised swimming also known as ballet in the pool another artistic event. Soccer in the Olympics look somewhat not that interesting maybe because of other sports that are usually not featured commonly.

The diving queen

Guo Jing Jing has beaten records of Fu Mingxia who won the most Olympic medals in diving as she get her fifth Gold for China at the 3m springboard diving. Her grace and precision has won the cheers from the crowd and made her rank 1 with a leap of 10 over points in advance of her next competitor. (Photo credit: Xinhua)

Team table tennis

It is gold for China and silver for Singapore. But well done Singapore for winning the silver and put the nation on the medal tally table. China's really good at this game of table tennis. Some may question whether is it a true Singapore medal, I would say it is. It is Singapore they represented and it is the country that won that medal. Though they may not be born in Singapore but what they did is for the country they represented. Another point to take note is that it is here that they are trained and given the opportunities to sharpen their skills and to be even better. After all they have already been here for some time and it is the flag here they carry.

The best swimmer in the pool...

Michael Phelps has did it winning 8 golds in a single Olympics. In his seventh gold, it was really a close call as he has won his competitor by a 0.01sec difference. He flew up into joy and exclaimed his victory when he know he has won that Gold. He is so far the greatest Olympian based on the no. of gold medals he won. The French said they were here because they came to smash the Americans, it seems Phelps certainly did help save his comrades for the day.

The fastest man

Now there is a new fastest man and that is Jamaica's Usain Bolt as he thrills with 9.69sec world record. If you have seen that match, you can see how he open up his strides and his legs were so long that he easily became the first guy in the front ahead of the rest of the runners. Towards the end knowing that he will win the race, he let his hands off calling for some sort of celebration. Could he have actually run even faster if he continues to run with his hands movement like in the start when he run? But no matter what he is now the world's fastest man.

After 48 years of drought...

It was a beautiful and sensational moment for the table tennis girls team and for all Singaporeans. After 48 years of drought with no medal, this time another silver is secured. I started watching the match with Feng Tianwei playing first and after that when I was watching it again at about 6pm I was like, after 3 hours plus and there was no winner yet. Then i realised it was 2-2 and the last match was the crucial one. Again, it was Feng Tianwei who was playing and she won! The moment I heard her shout and saw her raising her hand amidst the crowd in the bus, i know that's it, it is finals for the Singapore team. Great to go Team Singapore!

Gymnastic so flamboyant

Gymnastics is really the way to go for some spectacular moments. The Chinese team won the Gold for the girls' team and the guy's team. I even saw one of the guys cried. One of some time ago, I saw a newspaper report on how they train since young. They must really be happy to have all those effort paid off. One thing they are really good in the game.

Ippon ippon

Judo is another exciting sport to watch. It is a 5 minutes match between two participants and there is sometimes moments where each participant drags each other holding on to the sleeves or trying to grab their hands but all aiming to execute the technique to bring down the opponent. It is about the timing and the balance. When one saw that timing and seized the opportunity that is where it becomes exciting as one will move with speed to get the person down and the other struggles to maintain stability. Ippon is when one of the participant falls on his/her back. When one scores an Ippon, the person instantly won the match.

Fencing is so nice to watch

Fencing is so nice to watch. Korea Hyunhee N. versus G. Trillini at the semi-finals women's fencing shows the some exciting moments when both players strive to score fast and gain the points back. Korea was leading 9-5 in the middle of the second round after which was chased back by the Italian. One thing about the Korean player is that she played fencing somewhat like Taekwondo. Haha. It is the footsteps that I noticed about the Korean player and the way she shouted for joy after scoring ha. It is just so interesting to watch. Fencing a game that I will continue to watch further.

Men's basketball sensational match at the opening

Beautiful match between China and USA. China team's Yao Ming the people's people started off with a nice 3 point score and he certainly brings up the morale of his team mates. China played their best leading in the first place but later on USA was so too fast to catch up. Wright Howard, Kobe Bryant did fantastic dunks and they certainly score with style. Yao Ming's hands are long he's good but after all it is a team game. USA just certainly have 5 very good players in their team. They managed to score more later in the game ending the opening game of basketball with the score of 107-70. It is really nice to watch the match. All these Olympic games are all just so interesting to watch.

Olympic village

With another week to Olympics, I am sure the athletes in the Olympic village should be getting their mind ready for it and doing some lighter training to maintain their skills. This is where the athletes are staying and it looks quite a serenity for them to prepare for the games.
